Typical industrial uses
Plastic machinery
Used to measure barrel, nozzle, mould or process temperatures so controllers can regulate band, cartridge and coil heaters accurately.
Furnaces and ovens
Selected according to operating temperature, response requirement, probe construction and the atmosphere around the sensing point.
Packaging lines
Used with sealing jaws, heated plates and other packaging components where reliable temperature feedback is required for repeatable sealing.
General industrial control
Applied in tanks, machines and process equipment where the sensor type and mounting must match the controller input and measuring location.
How to specify a temperature sensor
Start by confirming the controller input or required sensor type, such as a thermocouple or RTD. Then provide probe diameter and length, cable length, mounting thread or fitting, connector style and the expected temperature range.
Sensor placement is critical. The sensing tip should have good thermal contact with the surface or medium being measured and should not be positioned where it only reads nearby air temperature.
If you are replacing an existing sensor, share the old sensor photograph, complete dimensions and any colour codes or markings. For a new machine, provide the controller model or input type so compatibility can be checked.
